Sara Muyco, Human Resources Specialist

Sara has been serving as TLC’s HR Specialist since September 2022. With a Bachelor’s in Communications and a SHRM-CP certification in progress, she is passionate about fostering positive, collaborative work environments.

Sara believes that supporting educators and staff who nurture children during these critical years is incredibly rewarding. By aligning organizational goals with employee satisfaction, she helps create a thriving, enriching atmosphere for both staff and children.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys cooking, gardening, organizing, and traveling—activities that allow her to unwind and tap into her creative side. She’s also known for her love of quoting movies, shows, and memes, using humor as a way to lighten the mood and bring joy to those around her. Whether it’s a classic line or a quick-witted joke, Sara always has a clever quote ready to brighten someone’s day.

Ana Mitchell, Administrative Assistant

Ana joined TLC in March 2023 as an Administrative Assistant. With five years of experience within the medical field, Ana transitioned to early childhood education with a strong desire to support inclusive practices. As a parent of a child who faced speech-related challenges, Ana was drawn to TLC’s mission of ensuring all children feel accepted and supported in the classroom, regardless of their individual needs.

During her time at TLC, Ana has completed the Pyramid Model Program, which supports social and emotional development in early childhood classrooms. Committed to continuous professional growth, she actively participates in a variety of training and development opportunities. Most recently, she graduated from the Leadership Longmont Program through the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce in June 2025. In addition to her other responsibilities, Ana oversees the caregiver volunteer program, further enhancing her ability to support and engage with the TLC community. Passionate about her work, she thrives on providing support to all departments and ensuring smooth operations throughout the organization.

Ana’s relationship with TLC goes beyond her role as an administrator. Her oldest child graduated from the program, while her youngest continues to thrive in one of our preschool classrooms, deepening her dedication to TLC’s mission.

Outside of work, Ana enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and joining her loved ones for Sunday dinners. She also dedicates time regularly to her passions for fitness and reading. Coming from a large family, Ana deeply values close-knit relationships.

Crystal Blancarte, Administrative Assistant

Crystal serves as the part-time Administrative Assistant at TLC, joining the organization in October 2023. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing, with an expected graduation in May 2028.

Her passion for early childhood education began as a teenager while volunteering in her church’s childcare program. She remains committed to fostering inclusive environments where all children can grow and thrive. Crystal believes that building resilience, empathy, and self-regulation in children is key to helping them navigate life’s challenges. She also advocates for accessible services that combine childcare and therapy, ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed.

At TLC, Crystal enjoys contributing her creativity through graphic design, helping to create flyers and materials that highlight the organization’s mission and connect with families.

Outside of work, Crystal values spending time with her family and enjoys Colorado’s great outdoors—camping, hiking, tubing, and wakeboarding at the lake.

Karianne Lesch, Child Health Liaison, Educational Services Billing Specialist

Karianne has been a valued member of the TLC team since June 2016, serving in several roles over the years, including teacher, Educational Services Assistant Manager, and now as the Child Health Liaison and Educational Services Billing Specialist. With a strong foundation in healthcare and early childhood education, Karianne holds certifications as a Large Center Director, Certified Lactation Counselor, and an ADN-RN from Denver College of Nursing.

Her passion for both children and the medical field drew her to TLC, where she is able to combine these interests in a role that promotes a nurturing, educational, and inclusive environment. Karianne is dedicated to staying up-to-date on health guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff, while also supporting families and the TLC team.

Outside of her professional life, Karianne enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son, as well as family and friends. She loves reading, gardening, and being on the water. Karianne’s son is also a current TLC student, which makes her connection to the organization even more personal.

Bernadette Koppang-Miller, Therapy Services Billing Specialist

Bernadette has been an integral part of the TLC team since June 2001, serving as the Therapy Services Billing Specialist. With a B.A. in Long Term Healthcare Administration, she brings a wealth of experience to her role, managing billing operations with precision and dedication.

Bernadette’s journey with TLC began when her own children graduated from the TLC class of 2001. Motivated by her passion for advocating for families living with disabilities, she was inspired to continue her connection with the organization, where she now champions this cause both professionally and personally.

Outside of work, Bernadette enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, learning new things, and watching movies.
