Caregiver Education Opportunities

TLC offers education and enrichment nights for caregivers of TLC students. These learning opportunities offer a chance for caregivers to learn about a variety of approaches to healthy child development, and how to implement the healthy behavioral strategies we use in TLC classrooms at home. TLC hosts Caregiver Toolkit nights quarterly. Each Toolkit night covers a child development-related topic, often selected by caregivers. Past Toolkit nights have included informational sessions around eating and sleeping challenges, coping with tantrums and other challenging behaviors, and other helpful childrearing topics.

Caregiver Toolkit Nights take place at varying times and in a variety of formats. Some sessions are offered online, some in-person, and others are take-home kits for caregivers to explore on their own. TLC also offers handouts and strategies from Technical Assistance Center for Social Emotional Intervention's Backpack Education series on-site. Check the Caregiver Newsletter and display boards outside of TLC for information about upcoming Toolkit Nights.
