Selecting a high quality preschool program is one of the most important decisions a parent will make. Research shows that 90% of a child’s brain develops between birth and five years of age. TLC Learning Center is committed to providing an outstanding preschool program to help each child reach his or her highest potential in preparation for kindergarten and beyond. TLC is one of very few early childhood programs in Boulder County that has earned a four-star accreditation rating through Colorado Shines, a statewide Quality Rating and Improvement System that oversees early childhood programs across Colorado. .

TLC Learning Center offers several options for parents of preschoolers, in order to meet the individual needs of each family. We offer four full-day preschool classrooms and one half-day preschool classroom, as well as two, three, or five day options. We are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm and request that no child remain at the center in excess of nine hours per day. Our preschool classrooms maintain a low adult-child ratio to meet the individual needs of every child.

Many families struggle to afford quality child care and therapeutic services for their children and about half of our families received some sort of financial assistance. Below are several ways that families can offset the cost of education and therapy services at TLC.

Colorado Preschool Program

TLC Learning Center has a contract with the St. Vrain Valley School District for children who qualify for Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) funding. Families apply for this funding through the St. Vrain Valley School District. Children must be four years of age by October 1st.  Eligibility is determined through an application process and applications are available at TLC. Contact our Educational Services Manager Lisa Stratton at 303-776-7417 x101 or the St. Vrain Valley School District at (303) 702-7815 for more information.

Colorado Child Care Assistance Program

The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides financial assistance to low-income families that are working, searching for employment or are in training, and families that are enrolled in the Colorado Works Program and need child care services to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency. CCAP is administered through county departments of social/human services.

Financial Assistance

Child care/Preschool: TLC has a limited number of openings for families in need of financial assistance. These funds are solicited through annual fundraising and grant writing and thus the availability of slots is determined on an annual basis. Eligibility for this program is based on income and other at-risk factors. Families pay a small registration fee and a co-pay per month. For more information about financial assistance for tuition, please contact Educational Services Manager, Lisa Stratton at 303-776-7417 x101.

Therapeutic Services: Families without insurance, or who have high deductibles or are under-insured are encouraged to apply for financial assistance to meet their children’s needs. Please contact Therapeutic Services Manager, Shari Karmen at 303-776-7417 x301.

YogaKids: Financial assistance is available for qualifying families for our YogaKids classes. Please contact Therapeutic Services Manager, Shari Karmen at 303-776-7417 x301.
